The Training Platform I Want

Jake Bresnehan

Nope, it isn't another smart fingerboard... The platform I want is something that can tell me what I was doing when I was climbing well. A platform that guides me in the right direction. It gives me ideas on what to do and when to do it. It makes planning easy. It keeps my goals in check and it helps me achieve them.

Having climbed for over 20 years and having dedicated a lot of that time to training, I feel I have enough experience to build this platform. Thankfully, I'm a software engineer and being able to build my ideas is an extremely powerful thing. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a diary or custom excel spreadsheet, but I am pretty sure a dedicated climbing training platform has its place.

A platform that empowers you to become a better climber

What the fully featured platform looks like I'm not 100% sure but what I do know, the only way to see it, is to start building it. This idea has been with me for many years and I couldn't be more excited.

To make things even more awesome I have teamed up with a fellow climbing nerd / training guru Dean Rollins (aka Deano) and we are building it together.

Currently, Sequence has been in development for about a year and half. Before that, I tinkered with various prototypes and technologies but they eventually fizzled out when I realised I was heading down the wrong path. This time is different. I feel we have nailed the initial direction and I'm so psyched for you to all start using it and, as a result, become better climbers.

If you are interested in helping shape and improve Sequence, please reach out as we are slowly opening up the doors to new users.
