What's New in Sequence: August to October 2026
It's been a busy couple of months. Here's everything that's shipped since August, with a link to the full write-up for each.
At the Board
Your timer on the lock screen. The exercise timer now runs as a Live Activity on iPhone and as a notification on Android, with beeps that arrive on time even when your phone is locked. I wrote more about how it works in A Hangboard Timer That Keeps Going With Your Phone Locked.
Photos and video on workouts. Attach a clip of your send or your form to any session. If you're coached, your coach sees it too.
Workouts that keep up with your plan. When a plan's exercises change, Sequence offers to update your copy, and you can now edit a workout from inside a session on mobile.
Seeing Progress
Test progress graphs. Custom tests now show a graph of every result, your personal best, and a comparison with the last time you ran it. If you're not sure what to test, start with How to Benchmark Your Finger Strength.
Sequence in Claude and ChatGPT. Connect your AI app and ask questions about your own training. More in Ask Claude About Your Climbing Training.
Planning
Print your plan. Print any week or month as a clean PDF, with blank lines to fill in at the gym.
Premium plans in the app. Lee Cujes' Moonboard Benchmark Buster now has a page in the mobile app, with more partner plans on the way.
Climb Strong membership updates. Switch from a Sequence subscription to the Climb Strong membership in a couple of clicks, and find your plans faster with new tabs.
Everything Else
Sign in with Google and Apple on the web and in the apps, plus a round-up of smaller improvements: archiving measures, regrading logbook entries, and a new Duration and Weight exercise type.
If you want the full list going back further, it's all on New in Sequence. And if something you need is missing, reply to any of our emails. A real person reads them.
